It's Penang! Hello! (Part 2 - Dine, Shop & Sightseeing)

On the first day, I went to Kek Lok Si Temple, a must visit attractions in Penang. It's easy to reach there by taking Rapid Penang bus 203. Bus 203 goes to Air Itam Village, stop at the foot of Kek Lok Si Temple. The latest attraction at the Kek Lok Si Temple complex is the Goddess of Mercy Pavilion, consecrated on 6 December 2009.

Kek Lok Si, the Temple of Supreme Bliss

Before I went to Kek Lok Si, I had my breakfast at a place called Restoran Zim Sum. It's quite famous in Penang with its Dim Sum and definitely the price. It is within walking distance from Tune Hotels.

It's Penang! Hello! (Part 1 - Tune Hotels Penang)

Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur! Always Kuala Lumpur, so this time I decided to fly over to Penang for a short break. Penang is a well-known food heaven, you can find lots of delicious food along the street, Char Kueh Tiao, Asam Laksa, and Hokkien Mee everywhere. During this trip, I stayed in Tune Hotels. I can say Tune Hotels Penang is great price, great environment, great room and great location! It's worth to stay there.

The exterior of Tune Hotels Penang, a 9-storey building located at Jalan Burma. You can find lots of food around there. There is a road opposite Tune Hotels named Lorong Selamat, where the famous Char Kueh Tiao located! Beside the hotel is New World Park, another food paradise! From hawker stall to international chains are all there.

Tune Hotels reception counter. A point that cannot be miss is the staff is so friendly!
Keep it up!

Tune Hotels lobby. Oops..I missed out one part. It's easy to reach Tune Hotels, from Penang International Airport, you can take a taxi, which cost you RM42. After 20 minutes, you will reach the hotel. Another way to reach the hotel is by public buses. If not mistaken, 401E will take you to KOMTAR and then from there, you have to take 101 to Jalan Burma. Once the bus goes into Jalan Burma, you will see a red and white building, that's Tune Hotel!

A view in my room. I like the wall painting!

Another room view.

Tune Hotels got very strong security system. There are CCTV along the corridor and also security guard walk around the hotel. Guest safety is ensured then. By the way, Tune Hotels also provide free internet access at the lobby, with 4 PCs available there. Each guest is entitled for a 30 minutes use only.

Alright, I think that's all for this post. Stay tuned for next post!
